Blood Moon Snowshoe and Bonfire

The Deerfield Parks Committee invites you to a small-town celebration of winter fun and timeless Americana!

When : Friday, March 14th at 7pm (right when the moon rises)

Where : Deerfield Wilderness Park. Enjoy 4-5 miles of gently groomed trails with marked loops.

What to Expect : 

• Snowshoe Hike - if you don't have snowshoes, we have complimentary snowshoes available (limited supply - please reserve in advance). Just wear your regular boots and bring a headlamp. Dress appropriately for the weather. 
• Bonfire Gathering - Gather around a crackling bonfire (thanks to volunteers from the Deerfield Fire Department) for warmth and conversation.
• Refreshments - Sip on hot drinks and nibble on light appetizers to keep the chill at bay.

Join us for an evening that recalls the charm of days gone by - a relaxed, neighborly celebration of winter and the simple joys of community life.

Designed with an adult focus, think of it as a magical escape where the only lights are the moonlit paths and the warmth of good company.

We wholeheartedly embrace the spirit of small-town Americana and invite those who cherish the outdoors and a touch of nostalgia to join us.

Deerfield's Sno-Much Fun Winter Festival February 2025 Happy Birthday Theme

Our Snowfest Snow Sculpture contest is underway. Our Snowfest event is set for February 8th 2025 at the Wilderness Park, 1-4pm. Our theme this year is Happy Birthday.

The voting will take place at the Snow Fest by all attendees.

We will be joined by South Trenton Carriage Company.

We are asking you to join in the Snow Sculpture fun and create your masterpiece. We would love to have it incorporated into our theme, but it isn’t necessary.

THESE ARE THE RULES YOU MUST FOLLOW TO ENTER:

• 1. Sculpture MUST be in the Town of Deerfield
• 2. Sculpture MUST be in good taste and appropriate
• 3. Sculpture CAN be created by one or many, please include all names when entering
• 4. Sculpture MUST be a minimum of 3 feet on one side (length, width or height). We are sorry but smaller sculptures won't be admitted
• 5. Sculpture MUST be submitted prior to February 7, 2025 8:00 am to be entered
• 6. Sculpture MUST be submitted to lhajdasz49@gmail.com with an entire address, picture and entrants' names
• 7. You CAN enter as many sculptures as you wish, however only one can win

The Skeleton Run returns to Deerfield for 2025!

Join us for the Kids Quarter mile race, Community run (1.5 mile), or 5K race - all within the beautiful Deerfield Town Park Wilderness trails - it could get muddy!! Costumes (run safe) encouraged!

Awards: 5K Race awards for overall winners and age group winners.

Event Support: We are also looking for volunteers and sponsors. Please send a message if you are interested. Approved volunteers will get an event shirt while supplies last (worst case we will give you a shirt from prior year!).

Town of Deerfield's Garage Sale Weekend

Dates: May 16, 17, and 18 2025

Those planning on hosting a garage sale at their homes on this weekend are welcome to sign up with the Town Clerk for the Public Garage Sale list, to be posted on FB or in print. All submissions can be forwarded to the Clerk's Email address townclerk@townofdeerfield.org or a message can be left on the phone 315 724-0413 x 223.  Information required is name - address - phone number - and a few items being sold. This information will be accepted until May 8th, 2025 - No EXCEPTIONS!
