Deerfield Snow Trails
* * * Snow trails are now OPEN! Please ride safely this season and remember to stay on the marked trails * * *
For up-to-date info, please see the Club's Facebook group here
All snowmobiles using any trail system throughout NYS MUST be registered and insured to be on the trails, including our trails. You can get a discount on your registration by joining a club. We'd prefer you join ours right here in Deerfield as the money we get goes entirely into the trails whether it be signs and bridges or fuel for the groomer.
Trails are OPEN, and we ask that you please STAY ON THE TRAIL. Our entire trails system can only be had with the permission of our wonderful landowners who get nothing in returen for allowing us to be there. The least we can do as riders is to respect their property. This includes staying on the trail, going slowly in areas where houses and driveways are close to the trail, and our #1 complaint, LOUD PIPES. It is NYS law that a snowmobile exhaust system cannot be modified in any way. Please help us to keep the trails we have by respecting what is being asked. Trail closures lead to costly reroutes that sometimes cannot be found. If we begin having issues, we will work with the Oneida County Sheriff and NYS DEC for enforcement as our volunteers have plenty to do without making more work.
Our meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month from September through April at 7pm. They are held at the Eagles Club on Cosby Manor Road. Our meetings are open to club members and any landowner on our trail system that wishes to attend. If you're interested in joinging the club, that can be done at the meeting as well. We are always looking for new people to step up and get involved. It doesn't have to be trail work related if that's not your thing. We need volunteers to help with raffles, fundraising, grant writing, the list goes on and on.
Join now and be entered to win one of (2) $500 from NYSSA cash prizes for joining a club early.
Coming January 17th is our annual Chicken BBQ held at the Eagles Club on Cosby Manor Rd. We open the doors at noon and usually sell out quick so get there early!!
* * * REMINDER * * * Trails DO NOT OPEN until after the CLOSE of Big Game Hunting Season. Please respect our landowners and the trail system by waiting until the Club gives the okay to open.
